How do we encourage more beautiful and responsible growth
Millcreek has some of the most beautiful neighborhoods in the state, but too often our streets don’t feel safe for people walking or biking. Sidewalks are limited, bike lanes are almost nonexistent, and cars move too quickly through residential areas. These conditions make it harder for families to enjoy our neighborhoods the way they should.
I believe our streets should serve everyone and not just drivers. Imagine a Millcreek where kids can safely walk or bike to school, where families can enjoy evening walks on shaded sidewalks, and where cyclists have their own safe space on the road. As a council member, I would work toward this by:
Expanding sidewalks and building protected bike lanes.
Adding street lights and public trails to make walking and biking safer and more comfortable.
Narrowing roads to slow down traffic in neighborhoods.
Planting trees and adding green space to keep Millcreek beautiful and welcoming.
